Last Friday October 24 the kids had their school Harvest Festival. They had alot of fun. Sariyah and Savannah submitted pumpkins for the pumpkin decorating contest (actually Sariyah decorated both pumpkins but let Savannah use one). Savannah won a prize for the smallest pumpkin and Sariyah got an honorable mention. Sariyah and Savannah went dressed as the witch sisters, Sienna was a duck, Blaize a tomato, and Austin went as his everyday beautiful self. The kids went fishing, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin golfing, spider throwing and of course the cake walk. It was a lot of fun although lots of people. We are really enjoying the weather here and the kids are really liking school.

Pumpkin Patch

Last night we went to our first real pumpkin patch at the Double R Farm. When we got to the pumpkin patch it was starting to get dark so we decided we better start the night by going through the corn maze. This was a first for all.

The corn was so tall it was even taller than daddy. The
kids each got a map of the corn maze so that we could find our way through. Daddy, Austin, and Sienna decided to take one path and Sariyah, Savannah, Blaize and Mommy took the other path. Along the way their were mailboxes that you would find and inside them were paper punches of which you would punch the bottom of your map to show which mailboxes you found walking through the maze. Their were two lookout towers along the way also the you could see over the corn and on the second one which was close to the end their was a slide. The kids had alot of fun as well and Daddy and I. After we got out of the corn maze it was pretty dark so we went into the barn and found a few pumpkins in there to take home. All and all it was a fun time. I just wish we didn't run out of daylight so fast so that we could have found our pumpkins in the patch instead of in the barn, but we still ended up with some great pumpkins.
