Christmas Spider

Last year my sister Shauna found this really cute story about Christmas spiders and how much they love the beauty of the Christmas tree and add their beautiful tinsel to the tree. Shauna made beautiful Christmas spider ornaments last year and gave it to me with the Christmas spider story. Well my Christmas spiders didn't let me down last year and as you can see they didn't let me down again this year. They left me their beautiful Christmas tinsel yet again.

Christmas 2009

We had a very nice Christmas season this year. We went and picked a tree from a tree lot. We looked for the biggest tree we could find that we liked. The kids had a lot of fun hunting around the tree lot looking for a tree. Once we found the one we wanted I had to hold it up while Steve cut it. I was buried in the tree. We found a 11-12 foot tree. It was beautiful. We had to use a ladder to put the lights on the tree.

Christmas Eve was also nice. It was a little different this year because we did not have any extended family here and Steve had to work and Austin was with his mom for the holiday but we were still able to enjoy the night together just me and the 4 little ones. I made their pajamas again this year and made hats to match all of them fit except Sariyah's hers was to small but she wore it for the pictures to make me happy.

Christmas morning daddy came home from work and we had a wonderful surprise for the children. Santa had left all kinds of wonderful things for each of them. Sariyah got a mp3 player and I-Dog, Savannah got the barbir balloon carriage she asked Santa for, Sienna got a kitchen with all kinds of food and fun to go with it from Santa and Blaize got a new Lightning McQueen bike of which he said "OH WOW" (one of his favorite expressions). Steve and I also got some fun things for Christmas. We missed having Austin around but know that he was enjoying his time with his mom and sister and brother. All in all we had a great Christmas!

Cookie Exchange

I was invited to attend a Cookie Exchange at my friend Ann's house. I decided to do peanut butter popcorn trees with m&m ornaments. They turned out really cute and yummy and were a big hit. I think I may have to do these again next year. This is what 6 dozen peanut butter popcorn trees look like. Had a great time and can't wait for another fun time with Ann and her family!

Christmas Lights on the House

As many of you may know Christmas is my favorite holiday and I love to decorate. This year while my husband was out of town for a few days I was a little inpatient and decided I would put the lights on the house by myself. Well I managed to get it done and only fell off of the ladder once. A few little bruises never hurt anyone right. :) Anyway it really did turn out nice and Steve thought I did a great job.

Jumping in Leaves

The girls have been talking about wanting to go outside and rake up the leaves and jump in them. Well we don't have very many trees in the front yard but they managed to rake up a little pile big enough for Sienna to jump in and have some fun.

Our Family Pictures 2009
We took our pictures by the Pudget Sound this year

The boys!

The Little girls!

All the girls!

I just love this shot of Savannah & Blaize it was one of the few pictures I got with Blaize smiling so good. He is usually such a camara hound but wasn't feeling much like it this day!
We took advantage of my mom being here and was able to have her help take our pictures this year which helped tremendlessly. We got alot of great shots. The pictures on the front of our Blog on the right are from this shooting. All of our children are growing so fast we can hardly believe we now have a teenager and a 2 year old little man. We feel truly overwhelmed but extremely blessed to have all of our wonderful children.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving Dinner 2009
We had set the food out buffet style we just didn't have room on the table with all of the people.

Janel, Hannah and Colton were able to join us for Thanksgiving

Hannah really enjoyed the food!

Here is my mom Kris showing some of the beauty of our table with the glasses and table settings (got to love our wonderful wassel sitting on the table doesn't every Thanksgiving table serve 2 liter bottle of your favorite soda) :)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we had all of our children here as well as Grandma Kris, Grandma Suzanne, Aunt Janel and her two kids Hannah and baby Colton. We had our dinner on Friday this year due to the fact that Steve had to work Thanksgiving day and Suzanne's plane didn't come in until the night of Thanksgiving and so it was planned for Friday instead and it was wonderful we had lots of great food and enjoyed having so much family here to be with us for the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Sariyah's Achievement Day Special Night

All of the girls for Achievement Days were asked for their Recognition Night to make something that would represent fall but not necessarily a Halloween pumpkin but a harvest pumpkin to represent the harvest that they have sewn this year in things that they have accomplished. I saw this idea in a magazine and Sariyah loved it so she made this pumpkin out of silk flowers and a branch she found at the park. We now have it displayed on our kitchen island for the Fall holidays. She did a great job on her pumpkin. We also made cupcake size pumpkin pies that were yummy! We are very proud of Sariyah and all has accomplished this year she is growing up to be a very loving and responsible young lady.

Family Twister Night

Savannah got Twister for her birthday in May and has been wanting us to play it as a family ever since and being the wonderful parents we are we are just now getting around to playing it in October. I guess I should at least be glad we did it before her next birthday. :)
Sariyah and Savannah laughed the whole time.
Savannah really enjoying herself.

Blaize getting in on the action!

Oh the fun!!!

Don't fall.
The rest of us played as well. Steve and I made it through about 2 rounds. Remembering how flexible children are and we aren't. Sienna played once and then fell asleep. Austin also joined in on the fun and he and I were a team once and he managed to knock me over. We all had a great time.

Blaize's 2nd Birthday Party!

Yesterday we celebrated Blaize's Birthday even though it isn't until tomorrow the 7th. Grandma Jerome was moving back to Las Vegas today (very sad about this) so we celebrated yesterday before she left. He is going to be 2 tomorrow and I can hardly believe he is that old already.

Blaize opening presents. His favorite things in the whole world are anything that moves especially cars and trains. He has this thing about watching the movie cars at least once a day for the past week and so we had a cars birthday party.

Opening the paper which he did a very good job at. This gift was Cars books which Grandma gave him and it took us a good 5 minutes to get him to open another because he was so excited by the books.

He then got a train of which he started singing the song All Aboard the Choo Choo Train (which is one of the short disney clips between shows. It was very cute.

He got the cars from Daddy and Mommy that I put on his cake. The banner on the front said Happy 2nd Birthday Blaize but as you can see it stuck to the frosting pretty good and the oils leaked through. He loved it the first thing he did even before blowing out the candle was to take the red Lightning MacQueen car off and lick it.

As you can see he has the car in his hand and the candle is not blown out yet he wasn't so sure what to do abou that. All in all he had a great birthday and loves his cars, books and train. Happy Birthday Blaize we love having you in our family!

Sienna's Halloween Projects!

Sienna and mommy have started having at least one day a week for preschool together and along with working on colors, shapes, math and alphabet I try to have some fun project or activity for us to do and this is what we did last week. Sienna made spiders out of pipe cleaners, googly eyes and puff balls. We then decided to hang them on the front porch post and they turned out very cute we are going to make more for the other post out from and around the door.

Sienna was really excited for her sisters to come home and see what she had done and sure enough when they came home they noticed them and loved them too!
We also made pumpkins which we hung in the window but the light outside againt the windows makes it a little hard to see them but she really had fun making them.

Sienna's First Apple Pies!

One of daddy's co-workers has apple trees and brought some into work to share. Daddy brought a bag full home so while Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Holly and Abbie were here Sienna and mommy decided to make apple pies for Aunt Holly's birthday. Sienna had a lot of fun baking with mommy and she did and excellant job rolling out the dough for the crust as you can see she had a lot of fun.

Gotta love all the beautiful flour makeup she has on!

Here is the finished product ready for the oven and they turned out really yummy everyone enjoyed them alot including Austin who decided to take the last two pieces to school with him one morning.

Puyallup Fair with the Older Kids

Steve and I took the three older kids to the Fair so that we could move around with out having to worry about the little ones. Sariyah, Savannah, Austin and I took the shuttle bus to the fair from the mall close to our house and met Steve at the fair. Steve was already there because he had to run a booth for work for a few hours. Savannah had never been on a city bus before so this was pretty exciting for her.

Sariyah on the bus being a goof!

Savannah enjoying the bus ride!

Sweet sister moment.

Savannah riding a carosel horse this is her favorite ride always.

Savannah and Mommy on the Giant Slide!

Sariyah and Savannah always like the twisty bear.

Austin and Sariyah love the swing ride and Savannah decided to try it out this year. She was tall enought to go this year. She did really well and wanted to go again after she got off even though she closed her eyes and held on tight more then once. Mommy went on the swing ride with her the second time she went. The swing is normally one of my favorites too but I got a little dizzy this time but still had a good time. All in all we had a lot of fun with the older kids and hope to do this again with them next year.
