Sariyah's Art

Sariyah was one of only two students selected from her school to have her art displayed at an art show. The art show consisted of Elemenatary thru High School students from every school in the Puyallup School District. Sariyah and her friend Sarah in her class were the only two from their school in this art show. Sariyah made this snow flake around Christmas time last year in class. Her teacher was very impressed with how Sariyah was able to make the shapes and edging that she did in her snowflake.

Sariyah very excited about her artwork!

This is her friend Sarah's artwork that was put into the show.

This is Sariyah and her friend Sarah after receiving their awards for participation in the art show. The art show was done at one of the local museums. The Karshner Museum.
We were very proud of Sariyah. She loves to draw and make things so this was a real honor for her to be in this art show.
Good job Sariyah!

Savannah's first attempt at no training wheels

Savannah wanted to learn to ride her bike with 2 wheels. It was time for her to move up to the next size bike so we decided to try her out on Sariyah's bike. She was very nervous but daddy was their to help her everystep of the way. She was doing pretty good and kept trying but then she had a pretty good fall and the rain decided to start so that stopped the lesson for this time but she will get it sometime soon I'm sure. Now that the weather is starting to get better we should be able to get out their and try again. Her little heart was broken that she fell and did not want to try again but I think she is about ready to give it a go again.

Austin's Skateboard Incident

Austin was having fun with his friend outside on his skateboard and decided it would be fun to try and go down his friends front porch stairs on his friends skateboard and fell and hurt his hand. He tried to hid the swollen hand for the first hour and then finally had to ask for help because his hand was hurting and of course he did not tell us the real story about going down the stairs until a few days later. He initially told us that he hit some rocks and fell. Anyway we took him to a couple doctors and finally ended up at the orthapeic surgeon and he told us that he did not brake it but that he did move some bones around that should not have been moved so their was a lot of brusing. They put his hand in a cast for about 3 weeks so that it could heal without having to be moved alot. He got a black cast and with in one day had colored it all metalic blue. I guess that's what happens when you send your 12 year old son to school with a metalic marker to have his friends sign he got bored and colored it. Anyway he made it look pretty colorful and about the last week or so wore an ace bandage over the top of his cast to cover the artwork. So much fun!
