In a great attempt and being a good mom I thought I would start trying to do more activities with Sienna and Savannah while the big kids were at school. Sienna and I the day before went on a rock hunt in our backyard and around the neighborhood in search of rocks that would be worthy of becoming our new rock bugs(an idea I got out of Family Fun magazine which is one of my favorite magazines). Then came home and washed them and dryed them off with the hair dryer. After which we got paint, googly eggs and pipe cleaners and made our bugs. Above you will see Sienna with the bugs that she, Savannah and I made. It was a lot of fun.

Here is Savannah and Sienna with the bugs!

As you can see they were very colorful and bright. We used glitter pipe cleaners for wings on our butterflies and bees and used them for legs on our caterpilar. We also made ladybug and beetles in many different colrs and they all got googly eyes to complete the look.

After completeing our bugs we put them on the steps of the front porch on each side so that they would welcome anyone who came to visit.

Savannah is always wanting to take pictures and you can see that to go along with our bug rocks Savannah also wanted to make some bug anteni for her head as well with a headband and pipecleaners. She is my very funny girl but soooo cute!!!
My own little Savannah Bug!

Sienna loves pictures too but did not want to have anything to do with having to make something to put on her head she just wanted to put her bugs out on the porch and take a cute picture.
And that she did!
I have been able to do more with the girls and hope that you will see more fun and cute projects in the future.
